Club Roundtable
The Club Roundtable was similar to what I received from the Leadership Seminar. Except, this time I learned not how to make goals for myself, but for my club as a whole. I got to hear advice from other clubs, as well as Joe from Collegiate Empowerment, on how what worked in their clubs and what did not. I did not realize until this last semester here how important an over arching goal for a club is. Not simply an abstract goal, but a direct, achievable goal that is unique to the group of members you have. The Club Roundtable made a more effective leader within my clubs; I was quick to have a club discussion on what our goal should be and implement the goal. Afterwards, I really felt that our club had a more meaningful purpose by being able to have a goal we all could strive for. Now that I know the importance of setting goals and how to best implement these goals as a leader, I am better prepared for my future leadership positions both in the classroom and out.
