Phi Theta Kappa:
Cooperation
This was my first time working with a large tam of talented individuals. I had to learn that I was not always able to come up with the best ideas, sometimes someone else was more suited.
Communication
In order for our club to be successful, communication between all of its leadership team was essential. Remembering to send emails to everyone when progress was made on an event was challenging at first, but I eventually got the hang of it.
Running Meetings
The clubs that I had been involved with in the past were usually not big on formalized meetings. Until working with Phi Theta Kappa I did not realize how helpful have an organized agenda for the meeting helped get more things done and more people involved.
The Big Picture
Previously in my club, we were often only focused on the activities that were just fun for us to do. Now I know that having an overarching goal or making a focus for how your club will help the world around you, makes the club have more purpose.
